5. The Meaning of Life

Meditation for Chapter 3...

This must be one of the shortest and most powerful meditations I know. Have the following printed in front of you, along with a pen and extra paper if need be to write and make notes...

Enter your 'quiet' or 'meditative state' and relax for a while. After a few minutes open your eyes and read the following and then answer the question below:

How often do you wonder about The Meaning of Life: Who am I? Why am I here? Where do I come from?

Instead of asking “what is the meaning of life”, ask yourself:

“What puts meaning into my life?”
(What moments would you like to increase? What moments would you love to re-live?)

Write down your answers now... keep going until you can think of nothing more in your life that you would love to re-live, re-create, experience, people or beings you love and have loved... just keep going, asking: "What else?"

Once complete relax and close your eyes. Let the things you have written down process, taking to heart the smallest, most simple things that create The Meaning of Your Life!

You can now simply continue with your daily mediation, or something else, or simply take a few deep breaths and return your awareness to the Present, the Here and Now.

If it sounds simple, that’s because it is.

All moments of meaning in our lives are moments of the Heart.
